We surpassed our goal to raise $15,000 for First Candle in Raine's name. $18,000 dollars was raised for stillborn research for First Candle. Thanks to everyone who donated, volunteered, and contributed to this event!
A spirited culinary competition, Zest for Life, in Honor of Raine Madilynne Huberty, hosted by Rodger and Jennifer Huberty to celebrate Raine’s first birthday.
Zest for Life is the Omaha version of The Food Network’s “Chopped”, a cooking competition that challenges amateur chefs to take everyday items and turn them into extraordinary three-course meals.
Local chefs or restaurant owners judged the competition. Those who purchased tickets go to watch the competition, enjoy fantastic hors d’oeuvres and toast Raine.
A silent auction also took place during the event.
Funds raised were donated in Raine’s name to First Candle, a national organization that promotes safe pregnancies and provides compassionate grief support to all who have been touched by a stillborn baby.
